Rotterdam Museum Night (date tbc)

During Rotterdam Museum Night over 50 museums and galleries open their doors, promising an unparalleled cultural experience. Get carried away with arts, culture and music on one of the friendliest nights in Rotterdam! Besides the permanent collections and expositions on display, the night includes many special tours, workshops, performances, small events and other wonderful cultural surprises. The annual museum night has been organised in Rotterdam since 2002, involving participation by nearly all the museums and galleries in the city. By now, the event attracts nearly 12.000 visitors.

The theme this year is: Tear drops. Stop pretending to be a down-to-earth Rotterdammer and let the tears flow freely on Saturday night 9 March 2013. Perhaps you are the tough type that never cries? Does your heart start beating faster when you think of the heroic port city of Rotterdam? Is your blood rushing through your veins like the strong current in the rivers Maas and Nieuwe Waterweg?
