Concert- en Congresgebouw De Doelen is built in 1966 by E.H. Kraaijvanger en R.H. Fledderus, as a venue for a wide variety of gatherings. In the heart of Rotterdam, the stylish, multifunctional building hosts all manner of cultural, business and knowledge-related activities. In 2000, the concert hall was extended (Jan Hoogstad) to include Congres and Codarts (Rotterdam dance academy and conservatoire). Capacity of main auditorium 2230 and small auditorium 600 persons. Every complex has its own entrance hall, a plenary hall, spacious foyers and auxiliary areas. De Doelen welcomes 660,000 visitors annually.
