From Bosch to Goya to Magritte: Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen is showing its impressive collection of European painting in a totally new light. For a period of two years the collection will be enriched with masterpieces on loan from collections in the Netherlands and abroad.

ABSALON / Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen
Although he died young, French-Israeli artist Absalon (1964-1993) had an imposing and acclaimed oeuvre. This one-man retrospective displays a selection of his enigmatic Cellules. The exhibition also includes furniture, drawings, photos and films, reflecting his rage and his yearning for security and safety.

Baroque Egg by Jeff Koons / Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen
On display in the museum courtyard: an immense orange ‘Easter egg’ with a magenta bow created by Jeff Koons. The huge artwork is 6 m3, weighs 2000 kg and is worth millions and millions of euros.
