The Rotterdam Public Library has a lot more to offer than books. Attracting around 3.4 million visitors per year, the library is the most popular institution in Rotterdam. In addition to the Central Library, the Rotterdam Public Library also has 23 separate branches, where you will find children’s books, novels, foreign-language books, audio books, newspapers, DVDs, videos, CD-ROMs, sheet music, language courses and much more. The library also organises annual events such as Book Week, the Children’s Book Week Party and the Readers’ Party. The Central Library also houses the Central Disco and the Library Theatre, where performances and presentations are held regularly. Library patrons can visit the Dikt café/restaurant for a drink and a bite to eat.
