Groothandelsgebouw

The Groothandelsgebouw is business centre with offices for wholesale companies and once symbolised the post-war reconstructions in Rotterdam. The enormous building block of 220 by 84 metres was and still is the largest trade centre in the Netherlands. The road running through it is 1.5 kilometres long and serves three different levels. Once home to the Kriterion cinema, the roof pavilion is now used as a sun terrace for grandcafé Engels.
