Van Nelle Ontwerpfabriek

The Van Nelle Ontwerpfabriek is an imposing building with international appeal. It is of inestimable cultural and historical value, having the status of a nationally protected monument and being included on the UNESCO World Heritage list. From the outside the building is monumental, but inside it is innovative and modern. It was designed around the concepts of light, air and space, inspired by the 'new building' philosophy of the past.

For many years these buildings were factories producing coffee, tea and tobacco. In the mid 1990s the factories were closed, and renovation work started in 1998. Nowadays they house inspiring offices and business workspaces.

Designed by J.A. Brinkman and L.C. van der Vlugt (1925 - 1931)
