City Hall
On 15 July 1915, Queen Wilhelmina laid the foundation stone for the City Hall on Coolsingel, opposite Stadhuisplein. The monumental building has a symmetrical design, constructed around a courtyard, with the main entrance in the middle.

City Office (under construction)
OMA won the contest issued by the City of Rotterdam for a new city office with a design that features a ‘cloud’ of homes and offices that seem to float above the ground, creating a large open space on the inside of the building.

Erasmus Bridge
The 800-metre long Erasmus Bridge spans the Maas River and links the northern and southern parts of Rotterdam. The suspension bridge has a 139-metre high steel pylon, which is secured with 40 cables. The shape of the pylon gave the bridge its nickname, ‘The Swan’.
