At the place where the RDM workers used to recover from hard work and eat their sandwich from the drum, you can now enjoy a snack and a drink. The RDM Canteen is located in the former Central Canteen of the Rotterdam Droogdok Maatschappij at Heijplaatstraat 3. Here you can enjoy a cup of coffee, breakfast with fresh orange juice, a sandwich, a meal salad, the RDM meatball or Dudok’s famous cake.
RDM’s past can still be felt here. The industrial look and feel have been retained, but with a contemporary twist. The RDM Canteen is not only a place for today’s ‘workers’ at RDM. It is right for everyone; companies from the area, visitors, students, tourists, cyclists, and of course for real Rotterdammers. From a business appointment or a consultation with your colleague to a friendly meeting with acquaintances. There is also plenty of room to sit down and do some work with the laptop and let off some steam during the day (WIFI freely available).
