The TINY [BAU]HAUS by the German National Tourist Board (DZT) and DUS Architects is travelling around Europe, and in April will be pitching up at Het Nieuwe Instituut. In the 3D-printed mini-house, visitors can get a complete sensory experience of the three Bauhaus locations Weimar, Dessau and Berlin. Using virtual reality, they will even be able to look around Walter Gropius’ study, reconstructed in cooperation with the Bauhausuniversiteit.


Het Nieuwe Instituut

In Het Nieuwe Instituut, the Museum of Architecture, Design and Digital Culture shows temporary exhibitions with a recurring theme of innovation. In other words: the museum examines the designed world and how it is constantly being changed by new technologies, new ideas and shifting social priorities.
