The well-known pop-up restaurant A La Plancha will open its doors on Noordereiland this summer after a year ‘break’. With more space on the quays and various distribution points for food and drinks, the layout and interpretation of the temporary restaurant will be slightly different. In this way, the new catering rules can be observed. This year, the pop-up also invites her friends; local colleagues who do not have the space, knowledge or organization to find a creative solution as a result of COVID-19 are given space at A La Plancha. Visitors can now buy a fish voucher to support the restaurant so that they can enjoy the most beautiful location on the Maas again.
A La Plancha also thinks of colleagues and friends who are struggling because of the current measures. A la Plancha has entered into a partnership with a number of these local entrepreneurs and producers, which means that their products are also available on the North Island. In addition to culinary products, this also includes local cultural initiatives, so that visitors to A La Plancha & Amigos are surprised by a delicious meal with art, culture and music. All this right on the waterfront on the Noordereiland: a popular place in Rotterdam.
As soon as the weather permits, the lively terrace and bustling kitchen of A La Plancha opens. Due to COVID-19 it is necessary to reserve a time slot prior to your visit. Visitors can now also buy a fish voucher that not only supports the restaurant in the opening phase, so that everyone can return to the unique restaurant. Vouchers are for sale via www.ala-plancha.nl, the Noordereiland shop or the Fadi’s lunchroom.
