More than 28 years ago, Dudok Rotterdam opened its doors in a building on the Meent designed by well-known Dutch architect Willem Marinus Dudok and introduced Rotterdam to what they think should be a city café and brasserie. Dudok Rotterdam follows the rhythm of the city and therefore offers a varied menu with a French twist throughout the day. The formula has remained unchanged since then and so Dudok Rotterdam is still a lively meeting place, where you sit down for breakfast with a newspaper at the reading table, delicious lunch dishes, from drinks to dinner, but also for a festive high tea.
The connection with the city of Rotterdam has always been important for Dudok Rotterdam and this is reflected in the design: an industrial touch, no-nonsense, yet warm and atmospheric. Meanwhile, the Meent, on which the café brasserie is located, has developed into the beating heart of the center. A lively street with the feeling of international allure due to the large number of unique shops and boutiques. Take a seat on the large and sunny terrace and see for yourself the bustle of the bustling city of Rotterdam! Dudok Rotterdam is also the place where the iconic apple pie originated. Initially designed to serve to the guests, but in the meantime many of these cakes are baked according to secret recipes in our own bakery, Dudok Patisserie. Today, the pies can also be found on the menu in the catering industry in the Netherlands.
Dudok Rotterdam has two light rooms at its disposal, situated on the first floor of the restaurant. Both rooms are perfect for a private lunch, dinner or a festive occasion such as birthdays and anniversaries. Due to the central location in the heart of Rotterdam, the halls are also ideal for business events such as drinks and meetings. Of course, the Dudok Rotterdam team is happy to provide a tailor-made interpretation for snacks and drinks.
