Indonesian restaurant Dewi Sri opened in 1980 in a historic building on the Maas in the stately Scheepvaartkwartier (Maritime District). Since then it has become a name revered in Rotterdam and beyond for its highlights of Indonesian cuisine. The old family recipes passed down through the generations have been reverently interpreted and adapted to become the creative Southeast Asian cuisine that is now the restaurant’s hallmark. Experiments with Asian herbs and spices produce surprising new flavours and dishes.
Dewi Sri can seat up to 72 for lunch or dinner, and can host groups of up to 40. The atmosphere in the restaurant is stylish and traditional.
Dewi Sri is just six minutes’ walk from the Westplein tram stop (line 7). Paid parking is available in the immediate vicinity or in the Erasmus Bridge parking garage (less than five minutes’ walk).
