Haringvliet

Harbour, Sightseeing

Haringvliet to the east of the centre of Rotterdam is an inland port dating from 1590, named after the fishermen of the haringvloot (herring fleet) that gathered here. This later became the port where the ships of the Admiralty of Rotterdam were moored and supplies loaded. Take a walk here or view the port from the water with a Watertaxi or Tender.
