The Hoeksveer is a bicycle and pedestrian ferry from Hoek van Holland to Maasvlakte II. With this ferry you sail through the busiest port in Europe. You can enjoy the passing, imposing ships from all parts of the world. Seals are regularly seen along the way. The 50-minute crossing takes you on a “mini-cruise” through the always bustling harbour.
In Hoek van Holland the boat departs from the Berghaven (Stationsweg). On the Maasvlakte, the stop is at Futureland (Europaweg 902). This is the information center of the Port Authority. Here you can find out everything about the port of Rotterdam. Also nice for children to see. The entrance is free.
The Hoeksveer is a link in the (inter)national long-distance cycle paths and recreational cycling and walking routes.
You can sail from 11 May to September. There are catering facilities at both stops.
Sail with us. Welcome aboard.
