3 routes to Kinderdijk
Route 1 with Waterbus line 21
A direct route from Rotterdam Erasmus Bridge to Kinderdijk. It sails all year round. Look here for the timetable .
Please note: until June 15, 2022, line 21 will NOT sail
Route 2 with Waterbus line 20 towards Dordrecht and Driehoeksveer
Travel from Rotterdam to the Ridderkerk stop and change to the Driehoeksveer to Kinderdijk. In total you will be on the road for about 40 minutes. At the Driehoeksveer you can buy a ticket in cash or with pin (€2.00 one way).
Route 3 with Waterbus and bicycle
Travel with line 20 to the Alblasserdam stop and cycle from there to the Kinderdijk windmills in 15 minutes.
How can I pay on Waterbus?
Tickets on board : A ticket can be bought on board from the steward (only by card).
E-ticket : quickly buy a ticket online. Waterbus offers one way/round trip and day tickets
OV-chipkaart : Check-in and check-out takes place at the quay. The RET-OV chip card with the Rotterdam Welcome Card is not valid on board.
Tourist Day Ticket : you can also check in at Waterbus with the Tourist Day Ticket. This ticket is not for sale at Waterbus itself. A Tourist Day Ticket costs € 14.50 and you can travel unlimited for one calendar day in South Holland by metro, tram, bus and waterbus.
The bicycle can be taken on board for free!
