About MaMA
MaMA’s program is rooted in youth and popular culture and takes place in those areas where broader cultural developments – of a social, societal, technological or economic nature – become visible within contemporary art practice. After all, new trends often arise outside the institutional sphere; on and offline, in the private sphere or the public domain. This is the environment where collective activity thrives best and where culture and creativity manifest themselves without permission from ‘the institute’. MaMA closely follows the developments of a young generation of artists: Bringing them in, supporting, developing and showing them is what MaMA is committed to.
