The Park – inspired by Erik van Loo – is a restaurant with a contemporary lounge design and can hold up to 100 guests. Private Dining is available and the restaurant has an aperitif bar and the Cigar Lounge. The menu includes signature dishes created by two-Michelin-star chef Erik van Loo and features classic and international cuisine with a Rotterdam take. In its first year, 2014, the restaurant carried off the Rotterdam Golden Ladle (Gouden Pollepel) award.
The Bilderberg Parkhotel is in the Museumkwartier district adjacent to Museumpark. It opened its doors in 1922 in a beautiful villa on the Westersingel road. The building had a modernistic garden-extension added in the 1950s. An eight-storey tower was built between 1980 and 1984 and a second 45-metre-high tower was added in 1992. The hotel’s ground floor was thoroughly renovated in 2014. A new restaurant (The Park), meeting centre, lobby bar and Cigar Lounge were created. Their design is modern but pays its respects to older traditions.
The Bilderberg Parkhotel and The Park are just an eight-minute walk from Rotterdam Central Station. Eendrachtsplein metro station and tram stop are next to the building. Paid parking is available in the hotel’s garage. If that is full, the Westblaak and Museumpark car parks are just a few minutes’ walk away.
