In and around the city, you can find several P+R park lots, where you can park your car (or motorbike) and travel on using public transport.
You can also park in the city using one of the many indoor parking (cash, pin or credit card), but also on the street in many areas. The entire city centre is paid parking. Tariffs and the times at which charges apply are stated on all ticket machines. It is not possible to use coins in Rotterdams’ on-street parking meters. Payment can be made by bank pass or credit card.
You also can pay on the streets with a mobile phone service. Everyone who has a mobile phone can use the service. However, you will need to register with one of the following providers: Parkmobile, Park-line, Yellowbrick, EasyPark, SMSParking, ANWB Parkeren, MyOrder or MKB Brandstof. Remember to check the signs for the local options, times and prices.
People with a disabled parking permit are allowed to park in the designated parking spaces.
There are free parking places in Rotterdam for coaches and touringcars. They can be found in the city center near Blaak, Boompjeskade, Mariniershof, Museumpark, Parkhaven and Willemsplein. Download the factsheet for more information about the parking areas.
