Most of the shops in the city centre open at 10:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m. On Friday, most of the shops are open until 9:00 p.m. The Markthal is open until 8:00 p.m. nearly every day, on Friday until 9:00 p.m. and on Sunday until 6:00 p.m. Department store De Bijenkorf is almost daily open until 8:00 p.m. Rotterdam Tourist Information on Central Station is open daily until 6:00 p.m. Would you like to get the exact times of your favorite store quickly? Rotterdam has three major outdoor markets: Binnenrotte, Afrikaanderplein, and Visserijplein. In addition, there are several neighborhood markets as well as an organic market and the Oogstmarkt. The Markthal is the most well-known covered market in Rotterdam, but not the only one. On the south side of the city, there is the Fenix Food Factory. Moreover, you can also enjoy a variety of delicious foods at The Foodhallen on the Kop van Zuid and Station Bergweg in Rotterdam Noord.
The Alexandrium consists of 3 parts: the covered Shopping Centre, the Megastores outside and the Home Decoration Mall. The shopping centre is easy to reach by train, metro, bus and car.
