Visitors to Waylon’s Top1000 in Rotterdam Ahoy agreed more than once: Give Waylon any song and he will make a fantastic version of it. The Waylon’s Top1000 was organized for the sixth time this year and has become a feast of recognition. During the concert, Waylon sang, accompanied by his regular band, his favorite songs by the greatest artists in the world. Around thirty songs by U2, Michael Jackson and Bryan Adams, among others, were performed.
‘I am very happy that I can give another show of my Top 1000 in Rotterdam Ahoy next year,’ says Waylon. ‘There is so much choice and I try to perform new songs from my own top 1000 every year. My great heroes have made beautiful music and it is a joy to be able to sing these songs for such an enthusiastic audience. So next year again, on November 30th. I am really looking forward to it.’ In 2016, Waylon performed in Rotterdam Ahoy for the first time with this concert series. Where in previous years he had only sung hits from his top 1000, he came with a Red-White-Blue edition for his first lustrum edition, in which Waylon sang big hits by Dutch artists.
