The unpredictable weather in the Netherlands becomes irrelevant once you get to know Splendid, a band that has been bringing sunshine to every household in the Low Countries for over 25 years. With their energetic mix of pop, reggae and hip-hop, this seven-piece formation radiates nothing but positive vibes. Their signature sound is cheerful and transports you to a sultry summer evening, with your bare feet in the sand, dancing until the sun disappears into the sea.
The group has released no less than seven albums, with their last studio work dating from 2018. However, this does not detract from the atmosphere, as the band’s live reputation leaves nothing to be desired. Frontman Pat Schmitz makes sure that everyone, really everyone, in the audience goes wild.
