Big news in the Rotterdam culinary world: Yama has been awarded a Michelin star! The authentic traditional Japanese cuisine by H. Yamamoto opened in 2013. Yama brings forth a beautiful and delectable Japanese culinary experience.

Foodies will be in seventh heaven in one of 13 Michelin-starred restaurants in Rotterdam. Zeezout, The Millèn, Fitzgerald, Joelia, FG Food Labs, Yama and Amarone have one Michelin Star. Parkheuvel, Fred en FG Restaurant even have two stars each.
Rotterdam was the first city in the Netherlands with a 3-star restaurant!
Two stars⭐⭐
The first restaurant to receive three stars in the Netherlands was Parkheuvel, in Rotterdam in 2002. After being taken over by current chef Erik van Loo, the restaurant had to prove itself to the Michelin Guide testers again and went back to one star in 2006 (Michelin stars 2007). It has had two stars since 2009 and who knows, maybe a third will be awarded in the coming years …
