De Calypso has been built on the site where the Hotel Holiday Inn, the Pauluskerk and the former Calypso cinema were located. The striking and colorful building, which appears to be in motion due to its design and sloping facades, contains 407 apartments, office and retail space and 500 parking spaces. The new Pauluskerk also has a place in the building.
