NY basement restaurant and cocktail bar
NY Basement – in the basement of Hotel New York – is a restaurant and cocktail bar. The classic interior is reminiscent of the 1920s and 1930s in pre-war Manhattan. Exactly the place where many emigrants arrived when they left their homeland with the Holland-America Line.
The atmosphere is more intimate and exclusive than upstairs, but just as accessible. The 11 meter long bar invites you to have a drink or drink cocktails. The bartenders master all techniques to make a perfect cocktail: from classic cocktails with a quirky twist to NY Basement originals.
The restaurant can accommodate 110 guests for lunch and dinner. It is possible to reserve a separate lockable room for groups of up to 15 people. The menu includes seasonal dishes, classic dishes from the charcoal grill and appetizers. Many dishes have an intermediate format so that guests can combine them themselves into a menu of 3, 4, 5 courses or more. A surprise menu is available in four or seven courses.
Hotel New York
Hotel New York opened its doors in 1993 in the former headquarters of the Holland America Line, located on the banks of the Maas. The characteristic building from 1917 exudes the nostalgia of that time and symbolizes the departure of the many emigrants who sailed to their new homeland with hope and excitement. The hotel consists of 72 hotel rooms, 7 halls and two restaurants.
