Restaurant Renilde

Restaurant

A roof park of 75 trees at a height of 34.5 meters with a breathtaking view of a metropolis: Depot Boijmans van Beuningen. Of course, a restaurant had to be added. That was Renilde, named after Renilde Hammacher-van den Brande from 1962-1978 curator at Boijmans. She laid the foundation for one of the most important museum collections of modern art in the Netherlands. In addition to our Rothko, Renilde also bought work by Dalí, Magritte and Man Ray, among others.

Chef d’equipe is Jim de Jong, of former restaurant De Jong and Le Cirque of Robert Kranenborg. In 2019 he was named top young chef of the year by Gault Millau. Jim’s half-brother Rokus is his right-hand man. Beautiful catering set. The De Jong’s make dishes with a French twist, such as ‘salade jardinière’ and ‘baguette jambon beurre’ for lunch. In the evening a 2-, 3- or 4-course menu based on what the market and the mood bring.

Renilde serves lunch exclusively for visitors from Tuesday to Sunday. Dinner is from Wed to Saturday. Reservations can be made via the website.
