Cool and Rotterdam
Finnish designer Janne Saario designed the skate park in collaboration with the users. The appearance of the current skate park is cool and Rotterdam, with references to the harbor and the 'Transformer', the statue that stands on the edge of the skate park.
The skate park on Westblaak was renovated in 2016 after fifteen years of intensive use. The stainless steel elements have been replaced by a concrete skate landscape of 1200 m2.
