Urban Bakery is the place to go for freshly baked bread, cakes and other pastries. Bread from the Vlaamsch Broodhuys, coffee from local, award-winning (voted best coffee of 2015) coffee roasters Man met Bril (literally: Man with glasses) and homemade cakes with no artificial colouring and flavours, or preservatives. The recipes are inspired by international cuisines and what comes out of the oven is determined by the fruits of the season. Urban Bakery can be found at two locations, one at the Hofbogen and one in the up-and-coming hotspot Hoogstraat. Both stores are bright, edgy, and with displays and baskets full of delicacies, including tables to enjoy these to the fullest.
