Jack Parow was born in a small suburb in Cape Town, Western Cape known as Parow. It is speculated that this could be the inspiration for his stage name. He developed a passion for music at a young age and bought his first Snoop Dogg CD at age 12. He was inspired to rap after listening to Dogg’s album doggystyle. He started writing English lyrics and later switched to Afrikaans. This opened doors for him in the industry. This icon has since released well-known hits such as ‘Cooler as Ekke’ and ‘Funky’ and has collaborated with artists such as Die Answer, Die Heuvel Fantasties and Francois Van Coke.
