In 2010 Ntjam Rosie released her second album ELLE . Twelve years later, we still enjoy her idiosyncratic vision of jazz and soul and her characteristic sound. At the time, she wanted to prove herself and be seen and heard. She has now been able to let go of that and likes to take a fresh look at new musical possibilities, new sounds and new energy. For that reason she decided with the Amsterdam-based SMANDEM. to take a selection of ELLE ‘s songs in hand and bring it to the present. The result is a sound that feels energetic and vibey as well as raw and smooth. The EP ELLE – Reworked will be released in April 2023, so plenty of time to familiarize yourself with the new EP before Ntjam Rosie & SMANDEM. can be seen and heard in BIRD.
