With his buttery soft voice, Jeangu Macrooy quickly made his mark in the Dutch music world, and his unique sense of songwriting has made him an integral part of it. He was nominated for an Edison Award, performed at Noorderslag, provided support act for Blaudzun and Selah Sue and represented the Netherlands at the Eurovision Song Contest.
Last November Jeangu released the new album Summer Moon . The singer-songwriter returns to the soulful sound of his debut album High On You . He sings about topics such as the yearning to start a new life in the song Paris and the fear and uncertainty of an open relationship in Come Back . The song Alive is about celebrating life, and let’s all do just that tonight in Rotown.
Swan distinguishes itself with straightforward but poetic songs, special harmonies/melodies and groovy productions. With her personal songs, she encourages her listeners to face their feelings, see their vulnerability as strength and use their pain to learn from. After fully focusing on her musical development in recent years, Swan is ready to step out with her music in the new year. Her debut EP, which she produces together with Perquisite, is scheduled for release in the second half of 2023. Tonight she will give an exclusive preview of this.
