Belgian Jasper Steverlinck first rose to fame as the lead singer of the band Arid, with his crystal clear and powerful voice being the centerpiece of his oeuvre. His mix of folk, Americana and pop music is like a Michelin-starred chef’s recipe for a gourmet, taking you on an unparalleled and even emotional journey.
Jasper released his first solo album Songs of Innocence during the heyday of Arid. His cover of David Bowie’s Life on Mars unexpectedly became a huge hit in 2004. In 2018, the second album Night Prayer followed and this year his third album will be released, entitled The Healing. This album refers to the healing power of music and the personal healing process that Jasper went through while writing it. Jasper recently participated in the popular TV program Liefde voor Muziek, where he once again conquered many hearts with his beautiful voice.
