Kinderdijk with the Waterbus

Bus, Ferry, Guided tour

Kinderdijk, a World Heritage site with 19 windmills dating from the 18th century, is close to Rotterdam. Going to Kinderdijk by Water Bus is quickest and takes just 30 minutes. Take line 202 to Kinderdijk Molenkade. The stop is right in front of the entrance to Kinderdijk.

There are 3 ways to get to Kinderdijk by waterbus

Route 1 with line 202
from May 1 until October 31 between 09:35 and 17:07 with extra departures Monday to Friday in May, June, September and October. With line 202 you can make the direct crossing from Rotterdam or Dordrecht to Kinderdijk in under 30 minutes.

Route 2 with line 20
from May 1 until September 30 between 10:00 and 17:00. Travel from Rotterdam or Dordrecht as far as Ridderkerk and transfer to the Driehoeksveer (Driehoeks ferry). The total journey takes around 40 minutes. On the Driehoeksveer, you can buy a ticket in cash (€1.70 single trip).

Route 3 with the bus or bike
Take line 20 as far as Alblasserdam and cycle from there in 15 minutes to the windmills at Kinderdijk. At weekends in winter, you must take this route because line 202 and the Driehoeksveer do not operate during this time.
