Kunsthal Rotterdam, in a striking building designed by the Rotterdam-based office OMA/Rem Koolhaas, opened in 1992. Since then, the Kunsthal has been showcasing culture in the broadest sense of the word, from paintings to fashion.
There are always several – large and small – exhibitions to visit simultaneously, from old masters to contemporary artists, from innovative designers to dedicated photographers. Guided tours of the main exhibitions are available in Dutch, English or German for a maximum of 20 people. Architecture tours can also be arranged (on request). Several guides are used for larger groups.
You can enjoy a snack or a drink at the Kunsthal Café located in the basement of the Kunsthal.
Kunsthal Rotterdam is in the Museum Park, in the Museum Quarter. It is about a 5-minute walk from Leuvehaven metro station, and tram lines 7 and 8 stop nearby. You can park in the Museumpark parking garage.
