Chinese street food, gin and tonics, cocktails and karaoke? Then you have to go to Madam Chen. The hotspot next to Blaak station and therefore right next to the Markthal opened its doors in February 2019.
You can go to Madam Chen for lunch and dinner, where you can mainly order small dishes. This creates a ‘Shared Dining’ feeling like you have with Tapas. For dinner (or lunch) there is an extensive drink menu, which you will also use for the hours after dinner.
In the late evening hours the benches and chairs are pushed aside and you are accompanied by a DJ. Let the party begin! If you want to karoake, there are small spaces to rent.
The interior is different than you would expect and a lot of attention has been paid to this. The sofas and chairs are made of pink and blue velvet, the bar is pink and the walls have all kinds of neon lighting.
Madam Chen also plans to set up a terrace, so that it is also a suitable place to visit in good weather.
