One of Rotterdam’s largest art projects in a public space is located on the eighteen pillars of the metro line between the Rijnhaven and Maashaven metro stations. The pillars are painted by artists from all over Europe. The artworks form an art route along the quay of the Maashaven. The artworks also create an attractive connection between Katendrecht and the Afrikaander district. The initiative for these artworks comes from ROAR, Rotterdam Art Ride.
