Rotterdam Routes is an app that takes you on a journey through the city as seen through the eyes of Rotterdam locals. You can choose from fourteen different routes each with a theme and Rotterdam guide. The routes take about one to one and a half hours, and you can start at any point on the route.
Art and Poetry Route / 4 km / 50 min
City Poet Hester Knibbe and artist Gyz La Rivière take you past sculptures in the city, each with a story, while you listen to the poems specially written for this route.
Cycle Route / 23 km / 120 min
With this route, you cycle from the Oude Noorden to the Markthal and from the harbours at Zuid to the typical Rotterdam shops in West. Along the way, twelve Rotterdammers share their stories of the city.
Lord Mayor of Rotterdam route / 12 km / 145 min
Discover Rotterdam with Mayor Aboutaleb himself. He shows you all his favourite places from modern architecture to the international port and the impressive skyline.
Reconstruction Route / 3 km / 40 min
Let yourself be led past all the places that highlight 75 years of the reconstruction of the city.
Fire Boundary route / 7 km / 100 min
Rapper Winston (Winne) Bergwijn takes you into the past of Rotterdam. The pre-war and modern districts he shows you are reminders of the bombardment of 14 May 1940.
Rotterdam Port City / 6 km / 75 min
With this route, you will discover the origins of Rotterdam as a port city. You walk through the old city harbours, across the Erasmus Bridge and to Kop van Zuid.
Rotterdam Naturally / 7 km / 85 min
Rotterdam is greener than you think. Follow the green carpet straight through the centre past special trees, old parks and new urban nature.
Rotterdam Icons / 5 km / 65 min
