The Vroesenpark is a city park, laid out in 1929, opposite Blijdorp Zoo on the Vroesenlaan. The stork that breeds at Blijdorp Zoo comes here every morning to look for food. There are large lawns in the Vroesenpark where you can run and play endlessly. There is also a playground and a fishpond. Rotterdammers like to gather here with blankets, picnic baskets and barbecues. Or they meet at the Vroesenpaviljoen for a snack and a drink. In the summer, the Vroesenpark hosts regular festivals, such as Duizel in the Park.
